At St. Jude's Ranch for Children, we work daily to positively impact the lives of every child we serve. In the process, we get to celebrate the victories and this year, as in previous years, we have many. Congratulations go out to all our graduates this year. Like each child, their stories are inspirational, heartfelt and unique.

Read below about two our of children, Michael and Cody who graduated this year - congratulations!

Michael

Michael came to us at the end of April.  We enrolled him into school not knowing if he would graduate, but with the help of the teachers and a lot of hard make-up work on his part, he persevered.

He was determined to graduate this year.  His credits were a bit complicated because of the different schools he had attended, but he did it! After that great achievement, we came up with a game plan to get him enrolled into Northwest Vista College

Michael is highly motivated and excited about going to college and asks a lot of questions.  He showed his determination to be independent by taking the initiative to get things done without the need for staff prompting.  Michael is now officially a college student and currently enrolled in four classes this semester. Way to go Michael!

Cody

Cody has matured into an inquisitive and goal-oriented young man over the past year. Once he graduated in May the questions multiplied. One great thing about Cody is his interest in his future and his desire to weigh all of his options. Cody has thought about the military and possibly a career with law enforcement as well as other careers.

Cody is enrolled in Northwest Vista College and is eager to finish as soon as possible. So determined in fact he has registered for 16 credit hours! The staff has talked with Cody about the challenges that await him with such an aggressive schedule but he is determined and encouraged each step of the way. Go get 'em Cody!
