Bobby is a very bright, super smart, and ambitious young man who just turned 18. His dream is to be a doctor some day and help people. His plan to get there is to become an Emergency Medical Technician and learn his craft and then work his way up to medical school and reach his dream. He loves to read and especially loves anything Sci-Fi! He is very artistic and creative; talents that will serve him well in his future career of choice.
Bobby has been at the Bulverde campus for a year now. Initially, Bobby and his siblings were removed from their home because of extreme neglect by their caregivers in a very unsafe environment. Before coming to the Ranch, Bobby was in two different shelters and a long-term placement home that closed down, so he then went back to a shelter and finally came to St. Jude ’s Ranch.

Bobby’s previous placement was very restrictive and structured and did not allow him the teenage freedoms that he was capable of handling and had proven that he deserved. When he came to the Ranch, he moved straight into our Transitional Living program; a move that is not typical as children generally are admitted to the Therapeutic Residential Treatment Program and then "graduate" to the Transitional Living Program. From day one, he proved he was ready for the freedom and personal responsibility the Transitional Living Program program allows. Bobby has consistently managed a part-time job, kept his grades up and graduated in May! He gets along with his fellow housemates, serves as a positive role model for his peers, and always makes the staff proud!
Bobby is a shining example of the positive influence and guiding role that St. Jude’s Ranch plays in the lives of our kids every day!
